For Honour a Heart’s Demise

Finally, after over two months, some post-AWE fic (well not counting Harry Potter crossover crack fic) It may be late to the party but hopefully it makes up for it by being longer than the entire Admiral series. And I have to say, the person who invented the rule that all ship names should be in italics was a right bastard.

I've read this again, and still enjoy it so much! I think it is certainly what should have happened in AWE, rather than what we got! Great job, of course! I will add this to the fic archive in the next update, and enjoy re-reading it from time to time!

(And I agree - I hate italicising ships names, but when I betaed I thought you might want me to point them out - I wasn't sure).

I still think James' final speech with Elizabeth is wonderful, and it always makes me whimper.

Thanks! Pointing out the unitalicised ship names was of great help, saved me from having to run a search on the document. Oh, and you think it's Norribeth enough for the archive? Good, I wanted it to be, I'm just never really sure when I do something like have Will win out in the end, whether it is true Norribeth fic (hence why I never pimped this out on norribeth - maybe I should).

I don't have strict guidelines for the archive. I think, as long as Norrington and Elizabeth are the most predominant characters in the fic, and they interact a lot, then I will put it on. It doesn't have to be that they end up together. Either way, I think it is worthy of being added to the archive. After all - they are the main characters, and their relationship is addressed, so I would consider it :)

Oh why couldn't this have happened in the movie? I especially loved Norrington having fun dismissing Jack's debt and freeing Bootstrap oh and his interactions with Tia Dalma. I think James woud make a better Captain. And Elizabeth and Will deserve more than the time allotted them in the movie. But you know the reason I love it is because of James norrington my favorite character.

*sniff* This is so sad, and still somehow beautiful. I was grieving for James throughout, and while I'd have wanted him to live, I'd much preferred the film went that way. Love James' destiny - or lack thereof. Stubborn man.
