I’ve been for the past few days feeling very pleased with myself because I’ve taken Deathly Hallows very calmly and rationally. Particularly when compared with my reaction to At World’s End. Me = same. I haven't touched DH since I finished it. In fact, it is sitting on my desk where I left it and haven't touched it again. I don't think I could read it again - not yet anyway. I saw AWE twice in cinemas. Although, thinking about it, I don't know why I was able to do that and I can't pick up DH, because if I weigh it up I am probably still more disgusted about Norrington and the way AWE panned out in general.

Hmmph.

Yeah, Norrington's death for me was way worse than the deaths in DH, and there I was, capable of seeing it twice. It's really quite odd. Maybe it's the different medium.

As someone in (almost) the exact same position (except for the PotC bit) I can completely empathise with you. I want to reread it. I want to catch all the hidden clues, and innuendo but I can barely look at it without bursting into tears. It's okay to not be okay... :)
