1. This news about the SHIELD TV show is fantastic.

2. I didn't have to wait a week for the scene I'm dying to see in the next Once episode, it got released as a sneak peek. I for one am looking forward to the inevitable Regina meltdown that this plot seems to be heading towards. Also, I wish they would stop handing Emma the idiot ball - there's ( Read more... )

Yeah, I need to watch it again to process what actually happened besides a whole lot of yelling and everything going to hell in a handcart.

My response to The Thick of It:

HOLY SHIT. And not even holy funny shit!

Also, that was my observation about Olly, end of last ep and his part in this one! All this time he's been wanting to be in with the big boys and this is his first taste of getting really dirty and he looks like he's really hating it. Awww.

And yeah, my amusement at Malcolm's viciousness completely left when he ripped Nicola up in that scene. I do want to see her flame his ass.

When did Glen become the beacon of honor? I don't even want an answer there, I just love him.

And hey, remember back when Adam was a competent news editor?

Also omg item 5. *leaps upon it*

I have totally lost all sympathy for Malcolm. He's lost that anti-hero quality which appealed particularly in the third series, and now I just want him taken down, preferably with Nicola putting the knife in his back.

Also: Adam and Fergus, they can go down as well. I'm not sure if they're written that way or it's just because I haven't had the time to warm to them like I have Peter and Nicola (or if it's something about the actor who plays Fergus' performance, because I do not buy it when he's angry), but I find Fergus to be really horrible as well (and Adam's attached at the hip to Fergus, so by extension if one goes down so does the other).

I do however think that it's going to end with everyone's career in tatters and all of them completely miserable, and I will enjoy that ending immensely.

I still have basic understanding for Malcolm's position/his reasoning for wanting to do this, but if it isn't personal like he said it isn't, what the hell? On a related subject, the way Peter Capaldi can twitch his performance so the same apparent frothing rage is so much more cutting that suddenly you realize the previous warmth that's no longer there is very interesting ( ... )

Oh, I love the shades in Peter Capaldi's frothing rage acting. He's even got a way for portraying 'I'm not angry, I'm disappointed' while yelling at an eardrum bursting level in a person's face. But yeah, it feels a bit like Capaldi's deliberately made a choice to make Malcolm a more dislikeable figure, I can't figure out why though ( ... )

I need to go watch it again, because I was too busy trying to keep up with the plot and the yelling to actually give much thought to whether it was good or bad. Certainly the most tense episode ever.

The new episodes of Red Dwarf do show signs of recapturing the show's former glory, particularly with that insane Lister as his own father tries to raise himself plotline.
