I'm enormously pleased Roger Allam will be back as well. He is so brilliant as the world-weary straight man and I'm think what I'm looking forward to most is Mannion dealing with the coalition.

Hmm, House doesn't actually shoot in Burbank. It shoots at the central Fox lot near my house in west LA. It's the main ABC lot that's in Bumblefuck Burbank. BUT ANYWAY. Wherever the location, a better fate is deserved.

Now to the point. What about the rest of the cast?! What is the point of no Olly/Glen/Nicola? Where are they?! *panics* It sounds like its being retooled so the constants/relevants stay but most of the ones that make me really love the show are being made redundant. :/ I hope they fit them in somehow.

Ah! He is Italian! I was wondering where that last name came from to land on a Scotsman.

I'm pretty sure Rebecca Front and Chris Addison's names were chucked around as returning a couple of weeks ago when the news stories ran about the forth season being made *fingers crossed*. Still, they'd have to bring the old crew back if they've got Malcolm - he has to have people to yell at.

And TTOI's run by the Scottish-Italian Mafia according to Armando Iannucci in one of the commentaries.

I've decided that what I really want from S4 is two half hour episodes a week, one for the new Government and one for the new Opposition, along with a couple of weeks of hour-longs with everyone, like the radio episode from S3.

I suspect this is not even remotely feasible, but, hey, a girl can dream, right?

(Seriously, I've read they want everyone back, but how are they going to do Peter Mannion et. al. AND the new Lib Dem minister AND Malcolm et. al. in eight half hour episodes? I mean, I love them all, but that is a lot of people.)

I really like your idea. Especially as it would involve more episodes like the radio episode (which I think may be my favourite episode just because it has them all interacting).

I have a lot of faith in the TTOI writers ability to create memorable characters in only a few scenes and the actors abilities to flesh them out - but yeah, it's a lot of characters. It's going to be very hard season to pull off (I'm slightly worried they won't be able to pull it off, to be honest)
