Random thoughts: Clyde is going to have a half-sibling/cousin. I'm...a little squicked.

Haresh has gotten WAY BETTER since his first episode, in which I DID NOT LIKE HIM. But, yeah. He's gotten way better, and I was half-distracted through this story going "OMG BUT HE'S GOING TO DEHYDRATE AND DIE!"

Alanalanalanalanalanalanalanalanalanalanalan.

Luke staring up at Clyde's foot the morning after the sleepover. XD

ILU RANI.

Sarah chasing a slug through a hospital in scrubs and twirling her lipstick like a pistol and almost singing. OMG ILU SARAH.

Seriously, it's like Whoniverse is out to get me for actually liking the Doctor taking the morally ambiguous risk to save Donna's life. I was good with that one, what with the motives and his recognition of the tragedy and stuff, but then the mindwipe of Chrissy and Carla are supposed to be...like, milder, but without as sufficient of reasons to back it up to my mind, so I just end up annoyed because it's treated like an easy fix-it, which it wasn't with Donna.

Also, you think she'd have preferred to die? It seemed to me like she was still in the denial phase of coping with her state. That argument where "omg she said no and you ignored her wishes!" annoys me because, despite my ability to concur that, yes, perhaps a discussion was in order first, it acts like she was in a perfectly reasonable state at the time of her rejection, which...lol.

Ah, dude, now I'm a little squicked. Ew.

Chrissie's and Carla's mindwipes just seem to be about to undermine the ethical greyness and tragedy of what happened to Donna. I wonder if they actually have JE in mind when those two scenes were written, because maybe it's deliberate and trying to make JE less tragic and upsetting for the kids.

Of course, in my wildest dreams, it could be set-up for Donna remembering. But I doubt it.

And re: death. I don't think if she had time to sit and think about it (preferably over a cup of tea), Donna would have eventually tearfully consented to the mindwipe and she would never have chosen to die. But I'm with you in that at the time, she seemed to be in deep denial. In that way I don't think it was exactly similar to the guy in SotS who seemed to have some degree of sounder judgement, but the situation is similar in feel enough to draw comparison.

Who else here thinks that Clyde Langer has officially taken over Alan Jackson's role as The Man Who Obviously Wants To have Sex With Sarah Jane?
