1. Passing the Torch by calapine is the funniest thing I’ve read in a very long time. Donna takes over from the Doctor as the Last of the Time Lords. Go. Read. Now.

2. I bought the new Shihad Album, Beautiful Machine. Shihad are one of only two bands I’ll buy an album off without having to like at least two singles off it first (the other being Muse). Oh

...I find I have the sudden urge to make a Three/Jo video. I'm not sure why it was them that came to mind first -- it fits them really well, but it fits a lot of them well.

It really does fit so many of them. I've been considering vidding it for Rose, Martha and Donna for a couple of months now, but my computer isn't quite up to it and the one vid I've ever made is another Shihad song and I don't like the idea vidding a band more than once (or at least not two times in a row).

I haven't really listened to a Shihad album since The General Electric which by all accounts was great, and which I do own (somewhere). I just got muddled when they turned in Pacifier, and then back again and I haven't really hurt much since.

Beautiful Machines is them sounding much more like The General Electric then they have been doing, albeit a bit more melodic and mainstream in places. I'm not a big fan of the Pacifier phase. And while I do like it, Love is the New Hate is a difficult album to listen to unless you're in a really bad mood.
