[Due to the attack on one of the residents, Casa de Meryl's Winter Veil dinner was postponed to the 31st. Along with the whole household, Flonne and Lute have been invited as well

I'm sorry to hear that you were hurt, Luke... If I had known sooner, then I would have tried to do something more to help.

[Flonne wanted to make sure to speak to Luke first, feeling a guilty conscience creep up on her after Meryl had filled her in on the reasons for the dinner being postponed.]

It's okay, Flonne...I feel much better now! Almost back to normal. [He smiles at her, albeit weakly. He felt better, but he was still a little on edge.]

I'm sorry we had to move the date for dinner..I know everyone was looking forward to it. I'm just glad everyone could come today!

Guilmon! Wait! We're not eating yet!

[To be invited to dinner, it was such a honor, and he was glad to attend. The only thing was that he felt a little bad lacking in anything good to bring. It was common courtesy to bring a gift wasn't it? In the end he had settled on finding an unbroken bottle and filling it with cold clear water, to make it a bit more interesting he had added a little fruit juice from a can he had found.]

Thank you so much for inviting me. Dinner parties are such a wonderful thing to have this time of year.

[Meryl is pleased to have a Lute! And a bottle of juicewater. It's true that gifts are customary, but it's so difficult to get real presents for everyone here. And besides, he hadn't given the younger man much warning about it. His company would be a good enough gift.]

This time of year? Probably. We have various different winter festivals, and Mother is really prone to set something up whenever there's even the smallest excuse. Why, when Flute was born we had a huge festival! There were all sorts of things made to look like her, and food and games, then her first birthday was also a big celebration!
