Well, that's a lot more entertaining than an oompah band! Their accordians look very different from any accordians I've seen in the US - the chrome-plated stuff on the faceplates is different.

Maybe the Twinnies will grow up to be like the harp twins Hey, they should play a show together :-D (I just sent the URL of the Twinnies video to the Harp Twins)

Glad you found it entertaining! My husband came across it and sent it on to me, and I wanted to share :)

The accordions are Russian accordions; a different brand, perhaps?

The video is from the 1980s, so I'm not sure what the Twinnies are doing now ;)

Thank you for the harp twins video; not heard of them before. I love it :)

I sent the URL of the Twinnies to the Harp Twins. They told me the Twinnies aren't twins, nor are they related nor are they the same age. They're just two young women who know how to play the accordian and sing, while roller skating. The "twin" name was just a marketing concept. But the Harp Twins also found them amusing. The Harp Twins started out by doing harp arrangements of hard-rock and heavy metal songs, and it's surprising how well the delicate sounds of the harp adapt to music people expect to hear in jarring, harsh tones. But the Twins also do other things - they write their own songs, and they have recorded a lot of Christmas music, which always sounds perfect on harps. The Nordic and Celtic paganism of their ancestors inspires some of their creations.

Interesting; I knew the Twinnies weren't twins, but I thought they were sisters.

Thank you for the details about the Harp Twins, I'll have to look up these other genres you mention them playing.
