I heart Georgia. She's a great actress and has been in TONS of films.
Sorry, the grossest has to be suicide girl's brain leaking out onto the MRI table.
I haven't even studied medicine and I have been able to spot things that weren't medically sound. It's not like they're not being paid enough to do it correctly.
Seriously, usually they flub the medicine for plot, which is at least understandable, but too often it's just poor fact checking. I haven't read the book they put out that discusses the show's medicine, but have spoken to the guy who wrote it (Holtz from CNN), and basically all he knows is what he googles. Sorry, that irritates me more than it should. On the fun side of things, I'm thinking of writing a meta/crack-fic where House and Wilson watch the show and goof on all the medical errors and such. :)
You do quite well. It shows in your stories that you've done your research. Your stuff is a pleasure to read because you neither gloss over nor falsely present medical issues. You do far better than the show on that front. In the interest of full disclosure, there have been times when I've noticed a medical inaccuracy here or there, but they have been few and far between. It's usually something minor that only stands out because your work is done so well to begin with (and my life kind of revolves around the field at the moment). No worries though, I remember your preference that I keep it to myself. This is in no way meant to imply you need it, but I basically offer it to anyone who asks, so should you ever find yourself in search of some med. research or fact-checking assistance, feel free to hit me up. Seriously love your stuff. Keep up the great work. :)
Hi, j_house_addict and welcome to LJ. It's got a bunch of great Housefic comms. I can't really take credit for that notion, lots of folks post their fics and ideas and such here, but definitely the more the merrier. Btw, I noticed on your lj that you're graduating tomorrow. Congratulations! Here's to a fun summer of lj/housefic madness. :)
