Just to let you who email me know, I have been having trouble receiving emails for the last two or three days. Grrrr ...! Sob ...!

I am not getting any reply-to-thread or PM notifications at K-D (I haven't had them at TORc for months, so that's nothing different), and I have learned of at least three messages people have sent me via my regular

I like Frodo in this picture. Was it a throat study? Because there are some mighty fine throats in that trilogy: Boromir's at Lothlorien, particularly, when he was just a tiny bit unbuttoned.

Are you familiar with K-D? It stands for Khazad-dum. It's one of the Tolkien messageboards. I hang out there on the Frodo thread.

The Frodo shot above was a make-up reference shot from FotR. I like it, too. The shot in my icon (in this post) is from the same series.

Oh, yes. The throat shots. They all have them. Throat shots, I mean. The "Mir Brothers" have them when they are throwing their heads back in disappointed hope or in dismay, I seem to recall. Making them look very sexy, indeed. Aragorn has many lovely throat shots. It's too bad he's so hairy, though, not being much of a fan of conspicuous chest hair (but nether hair, yeeessss -- no denuded pudendas, please, for this old timer.) Not that I'd kick Aragorn out of bed for that, though.

Now, Frodo has many nice throat moments in the erm...*tremble*...RotK waterskin scene...*swallow*... Also in the lying-on-the-rock-looking-post-coital scene after the Ring is destroyed....*cough*.

Oh, stop all this about throats, you lot! (No, don't stop!)

"Oh, #%$$#&%!!!" toss their heads back, exposing a bit of throat, though not as dramatically as Frodo in his makeup shot, above. I don't believe their garments are at all loosed or unbuttoned, so you may not have noticed. We Frodo fans got to see a good deal of flesh so that the filmmakers could show us the Ring and the wounds it was making around his neck. (Ann: "Riiiight
