Here are the next set of Bree images. I had tweaked and refined and tucked them away in their Photobucket album a few days ago, but only now have I had the time to post them.....
Again, because they are rather dark on a small screen I have brightened and sharpened them. Here is an example of an unretouched screencap:

It's difficult to believe, but this is the entire script for this portion of the Prancing Pony scene:
(Hobbits enter the Prancing Pony)
Frodo: Excuse me?
Butterbur: Good evening little masters! If you’re seeking accommodation we’ve got some nice, cozy, hobbit-sized rooms available. Mr. uh--
Frodo: --Underhill, my name’s Underhill.
Butterbur: Underhill. Hmm.
Frodo: We’re friends of Gandalf the Grey. Can you tell him we’ve arrived?
Butterbur: Gandalf? Gandalf? Ohhh yes! I remember, elderly chap, big gray beard, pointy hat. Not seen him for 6 months.
(The hobbits are shocked. Worry crosses their faces)
Sam: What do we do now?

It astounds me that this bit of seemingly inconsequential dialogue should play so richly on the screen. The exchange in the book was far more involved and interesting as something to be read. But a film script isn't for reading, is it? It's for making into film. I must remind myself to remember that. My hat goes off in admiration to the filmmakers, the actors, Howard Shore who scored this scene so effectively.
As usual, Frodo is breathtaking. The contrast of dark and light offers yet another feast for the eyes of fans of the Baroque....
