Mews, it was one of those LJ glitches. They happen to me all the time! I post something and nothing appears, I re-post and end up with two. Or I get an email notification of someone's reply, read it, go to the actual thread of comments and, Lo, there's nothing there. I close the site, answer it on my email, re-open it later and magically they both appear
( ... )
P.S. I have a favour to ask. What sort of html code thingy is used to make an LJ user name into a link, the way you have done with Shirebound's in your two comments? I read the instructions in the FAQ but it has never come out properly for me. D'oh!
The top two are my favourites, I think. Delicious masculine beauty.
"High fives" you, sugar-pie.
Like your formatting, too. You know how to dress up a string of comments. Question: I have been intrigued by the icon you happen to have (very conveniently) posted directly above.
What does it say in those little tiny cursive letters?
Fireside scene Pt. 2 ~ "Fiery Letters"ext_2607643May 28 2014, 09:18:21 UTC
Dear Mechtild!
I came only yesterday to your site - and it's amazing! I simply love your posts and the selection of the pictures! I'm a Tolkien / LOTR fan too and especially a fan of Frodo / Elijah Wood! By this post about the fireside I felt I must comment - though I don't know if anybody reads them any more, but anyway. I fancy this scene too. As I watched it first (and second and third (: ) I wondered about Frodo's face too, how it is like a sculpture - beyond all praise. And then it came in my mind - his face is like the one of the sculpture of Michelangelo's David!!! I don't know if anybody ever commented about this relationship, but the curves of the mouth, of the eyes, of the nose - all is so perfect and so much similar to David's! If you would look, don't you think than?

Maybe I'll load your icon into the photo file and blow it up. I'm that curious.
