If you just ruined the equivalent to the rooftop card turning scene at the end of Begins, I'll never forgive you.

While the Batman's Rogue's gallery is nice, I wish they'd try to do some of the Mob stories a la Frank Miller's Year 1...especially since it would be a good way to introduce Robin is they were so inclined to do so.

I just think that many of Batman's villains do better on the page. Although I did like the Animated Batman's Riddler in the sense that you could see him as more of 'real' character. First, just a man wanting revenge, but in the process getting a taste for "The Most Dangerous Game" so that his crimes are merely a way to get money; the real game to him is the 'chase' in the aspect of, "Can I build a trap that can defeat the Batman?"

One could say in that vein, the Riddler is in a way simply a addicted gambler. Instead of playing at cards or roulette, he plays with mazes and traps and the pay off is to his ego.

Both Batman Begins and Batman the Dark Knight have heavy elements of the mafia types trying to seize control over Gotham, much like the animated series.

I am intrigued to see what their idea for the Nolan Batman's Riddler will be.

The current model of the Riddler in Detective Comics (quasi-reformed criminal investigator desperate to solve a crime before Batman does to massage his ego) could make for an interesting movie (ditto the Penguin as a influence-peddler in the Gotham underworld, for that matter).
