hmm..not a fan of his music or anything, but i have heard that he can really act..

No. Just- no. I may still be relatively new to the world of superhero comics, but I love Green Lantern, and if he's cast, I might cry.

But, apparently Rainn Wilson and Nathan Fillion were meeting with DC Comics a few days ago, and Karl Urban said in an interview that he was serious negotiations to star in some big superhero movie. (He didn't say which one, but he was in Sydney recently, which is where they'll be filming.)

And it is now officially Ryan Reynolds.
I love Ryan Reynolds. I'll admit it...but he is no Green Lantern. I guess the new GL will be a snarky wise cracking slacker with rock hard abs.
I'm surprised they didn't cast a talentless hack with a drug problem, hoping to relive the success of the Dark Knight. And I know I know, you will say something here about Robert Downey Jr blah blah drugs blah blah Marvel sucks blah blah blah but A. RDJr. was born to play Tony Stark and B. He can't die. It's been proven. I think he is a Highlander.

Of course none of this matters because it's DC, so it probably won't get made anyway.
