Morgan Freeman flipped his car last night and is in serious condition in a Memphis hospital. Someone on Defamer wrote "The Dark Knight is shaping up to be the new Poltergeist."

Every time i hear Morgan Freeman i think of Shawshank Redemption and how funny it was that they cast Freeman as "Red" when "Red" had that nickname because in the book he was an Irish dude with red hair. Uhhhhh.

That casting can't be any worst than casting a Juan Rico, a Phillipino, as a white, blond as they did in that abortion of a film, "Starship troopers".

Is that as bad as a Canadian playing Gambit in the new X Men movie?

I think that just because Depp can make some throw-away movies for Disney, you believe he has lost his talent. As I've posted before, if they play Nigma more like he was originally in Batmand: TAS with the suit as a smart genius who is a mental foil for Batman, the 'World's Greatest Detective' and not some zany guy in spandex like Jim Carrey did, I think he'll be fine.

Plus, Depp has played smart characters before and I think he could pull off the aloof Nigma that doesn't care who dies just as long as everyone sees how brilliant he is.

No, it's a secret tryst between Depp, Burton and Bonham-Carter.

Bonham-Carter's face is the stuff of nightmares.

That reminds me, I finally saw "Sweeney Todd" and meant to rant about how miserable it was and totally forgot. I do not understand how a good actor and a good director and pretty costumes can combine to make one of the most painful movie-watching experiences I've had in the last 10 years.

But, I think Mr. Depp can pull off a lot of stuff. I could get behind this. I'm just mad at the rumor that Angelina Jolie might be the next Catwoman. Fuck no. Please no.

The movie Riddler needs to be similar to the Animated Series version: uptight and humorless, but inventive with games and a follower of rules (the same was Harvey Dent abides by the flips of his coin). The episode of TAS when Batman escapes the Riddler's unescapable box was the best depiction of the latter I have ever seen (yes, even better than Frank Gorshin).

So of course they had to screw it up with the revamped costumes that put him into a Carrey type body-suit.

As a middling-aged man, I can't see why anyone over the age of 34 who doesn't really exercise (which I doubt Nigma doe) would want to wear a spandex body-suit.

...besides, just going to the bathroom would be a pain. I think the suit fits the character better.
