I loooove Bill Bryson, and I especially loved the discussion of the relationship with his weirdo childhood friend in AWitW (that same guy factors into the first Bill Bryson I ever read, Neither Here Nor There, and I think he shows up in The Lost Continent as well.) High literature shmigh literature.
I continue to confuse Bill Bryson the humor writer with Lew Bryson, the regional beer writer. I think this is the first Bill Bryson work I've read, and I would happily read more.
Cool, thanks for that. I **need** to read more fiction. I doubt it will happen this semester but there has been steady improvement over the last few years.
I do! We're actually friends already, lol. It's just that I only update over there every couple months. It's sort of a checklist/archive for me more than a social site.
And yes, I really needed some fiction, so this was a good batch of books.
