Wow. Just.. Wow. Oddly, this speaks to me so much. That seems weird given how lazy I am for the most part. However, I am most happiest with things I have had for a long time. Simple, ordinary things. In my day to day life that is. My alarm clock? I have had it since I got sober. Sometimes I look at it and think.. wow. How have I not lost you all these years? Anyway.. I would be happy to have and use and rely on "old" technology. I grew up before microwaves and color tv and multiple channels and limited radio stations. So I read. Now I am so easily distracted by shiny things and easy food. None of which are good for me.
I feel like the only way I can have the life I want, simple and without all the bling is to not work. If I cooked and slept and lived to my natural rhythm, I would not have time to work. Too much hand washing and cutting and preparing and working. But I think, no I know I would be happier.. and healthier.
