Annie Dillard is part of the Hollins group of writers hailing from Hollins University in Roanoke, Va. Many of them were either married to or at some point involved with Richard Dillard, professor. Annie Dillard is prob most well known for " Pilgrim at Tinker Creek," which I recall as sort of naturalist-y, but don't really remember. She also published a book of found poems, in regards to which I contacted her when I was a college senior doing an independent study on found poetry. She wrote back and said, quote, frankly, I haven't a thought in the world on found poetry, except what I put in the book.
