[Rosella is not having the best of nights. She just spent the whole day thinking she was a fictional pirate, looking for a treasure that doesn't actually exist, and going for a swim with a merman; then, to add insult to injury, the curse didn't bother to send her back home to her bed where she belongs when it ended, so now she is walking home, exhausted, damp, mortified, and still in full pirate gear.

As a direct result of this, she is really not watching where she is going. As a direct result of that, she completely misses the body lying in the street until she's already tripped over it.]
