I think it depends on what you do after you turn 18. If you go to university, then that's a major break from before and you might feel 'adult' as a result, but if you just carry on living with your parents (like I did) then it's not any different and you don't feel different either.
I hope your interview goes well, I know they can be nerve-wracking.
