.. as far as laptops are concerned anyways! alas. the g4 is no more (other than scrap parts on craigslist anyways). It kinda seems like it's meant to be cause I came into a few bucks at just the right time, especially since I need my laptop to play music at The Sunset on Sunday. so.. yayz.. i guess.

if you need the stuff off the old HD I think I have a way to do that. smalldog.com is a good place for refurb/discontinued models of macs if you are looking for one on the cheap. if you're shopping new be sure to do the education discount trick on apple's site.

I did end up buying a new macbook and a hd enclosure so I can get everything off there but thanks, I appreciate it.
