Ah, now I know a lot of random stuff. Crosswords and pub quizzes are good outlets for this. Sadly my memory doesn't extend to anything useful, or I'd have better exam grades than I do.
With sudoku and logic puzzles my brain just seems to seize up.

- which makes "quizwords" llike the grauniad quick crossword a fun occasional three minutes solitaire game to do, unless the setter's been too inaccurate with [non-] synonyms [a];
- but whilst i enjoyed doing the first two dozen or so sudoku puzzles i did, i realised there wasn't really a challenge - the most difficult of them is still a group of simultaneous equations, and so working out solutions is merely mechanical iteration: you could write a flow-chart of how to do it, and learn how to write a simple enough computer program to solve any and every sudoku puzzle, if you were bothered to.
[a] - "proper" crosswords, with their highly artificial language of disguising the information given in their clues, and disguising what's really being asked for in the questions, i'm no good at (except spotting the anagrams, maybe), and not really interested in either.
No problem- consider yourself added! Always nice to meet new people. I've actually been engaged since 2006 but various things (mainly a lack of funds)have meant that the wedding hasn't happened yet.
