AU or not, this was sweet. I liked the little glimpse we had of the time these two had together in Twilight Streets, and I think this was a perfect followup.

Greg always seemed like a good guy--devoted to Jack in life and beyond. It was great to see more of him here. :) This was also a moving reminder that Jack's been carrying the weight of the future on his shoulders long before we meet him. And though he sure knows how to pick them, all the pretty, clever young lovers he attracts can only help so much. *Sigh*.
