In total agreement about The Beast Below. Awaiting my download to finish for VOTD (which, now that I realize it, could also stand for Voyage of the Damned, heheh).

She made the recorded message in the 20 minutes we didn't see because they were erased from her memory.

Amy made the messsage immediately after seeing the video, that's why there were 3 buttons there, Record, Forget, & the other one (the one to choose to fight against the government or whatever). So she watched the video, recorded the message for the Doctor & then pressed the Forget button, so she wouldn't remember having recorded it.

I think it was just a bad cut between Amy viewing the history and Amy seeing the message she left for herself. She obviously left the message right after she viewed the history, but as we didn't see any of that it felt jarring.
