I'm so with you as far as Christina goes. Annoying, egotistical, self-interested and self-indulged. The Doctor letting her go at the end was a huge no-no for me, as I said on my LJ. He does generally try to do the right thing, yes, and he's let people be dealt with by local law-enforcement previously. He didn't stop Novice Hame getting arrested on New Earth, despite the obviously caring way she'd been looking after the Face of Boe in the hospital.
Carmen and her husband were Caribbean, not African, judging by their accents; at a guess, I'd say Jamaican, as Carmen's accent was pretty similar to someone I know who's from Jamaica. And, yes, it would have been nice to see them - in fact, everyone on the bus - have greater roles, instead of all this 'Christina is so awesome and therefore she gets to do everything' crap.
there is no doubt this eo had to much expectation on it, i did it myself after seeing the reports from the final two and little bits of the 2nd.
yeah it wasnt the best special, NOR was it the worst. it did exactly what id did on the tin, it entertained it made me laugh and it made me realise more how much i am going to miss david tennant, all i can say is roll on the next special in november
