I didn't care about any of the characters, I thought the writer hadn't given us any kind of a hook, so I had absolutely no emotional involvement or connection. The special effects started to feel like watching someone else play a computer game or a series of music videos. The plot is predictable (but thats part of the story), but without the emotional connection, the plot just didn't motivate me.
It felt like it was meant to be a fun throw away film, but its pseudo attempt to be deep just didn't work for me. Plus there was something about the sexuality in it that bothered me. I'm quite happy to have blatant sexuality as long as it isn't trying to be something else, and it just didn't sit right for me.
Reading this, I get the feeling I will not enjoy it either :/ I can empathise with that feeling of just watching a computer game/music videos, I very often feel that in the cinema and want to get up and walk out. The people who want to go and see it that I know are all male apart from one girl who is very into all things japanesey. I think its just going to annoy me :/

I have a feeling I am going to be dragged to see it.
The special effects in the trailer looked very good.
