Sunday night, full of woe

Apr 22, 2007 20:42

This morning I woke up to discover that the hangover fairy had mistakenly bestowed the consequences of someone else's night upon me. Alternatively, I woke up to discover that some kind of vomitous parasite had taken up residence in my digestive system. Either way, I awoke a very ill girly. At least I wasn't working today.

Hopefully the white blood ( Read more... )

oh you poor thing! just go to bed
bed is the best place for sick people. at least that's what my mother always says.

i have been watching 'Robin Hood' as well.
It makes me lol!
Guy of Gisborn is clearly a poor man's Sean Bean
and Robin has very nice teeth.
and i laughed at your comment about Robin's sexual tension with everyone, because well, it's true!

Me too! My sister hates it, because she has no soul. (Kidding, she's just a purist. And by purist, I mean 'owns Prince of Thieves on dvd')

That's so funny, my dad and I agreed last night that he was a poor man's Clive Owen (the 2001 version, not the Hollywood megastar).

I agree with Kate, go to bed.

Not only does bed make you feel better when you are sick (well, most of the time), being sick is a dam good excuse to stay in bed all day long. I often look for excuses to sleep all day, so you've got a pretty good one.

Having said that, being sick and feeling like crap all day is not a pleasant experience no matter how many different ways you try and look at it (unless you have the hottest person in the world looking after you, whilst naked).

And I don't watch television these days, let alone the ABC... So I can't comment on most of what you mentioned as I have no idea what you are talking about.

However, Hollywood's Pride & Prejudice + Bridget Jones I can put in my two cents: Both enjoyable. Go and watch. Plus, there's plenty of pretty to stare at in both. (Hello Rosamund Pike, Matthew McFadyen and Keira Knightley...)

I hope you feel better.

But bed is boring when it has no visual access to tv or the internet!

I've seen all of the above movies/mini series before. In fact, apart from Bridget Jones, I own them. So much pretty!

It's come down to McFayden vs '95 Firth..one's broody, one's smoldering. If only they could MERGE.

Oh you poor thing. I hope you feel better soon.

I absolutley adore Robin Hood. I've been forgetting to ask you, what did you think of The Abduction Club?

I really enjoyed it. Some of the acting was a bit wooden (*cough*the elder sister*cough*) but it was, as my grandmother would say, a good romp. I'm a total sucker for period pieces, especially ones featuring Sophia Myles.

My sister has even started watching 'Brothers and Sisters' so she could perve on Mr Wossisname some more.

PS: Thanks! I do feel better.
PPS: Richard Armitage in vinyl is almost as good as Richard Armitage in a speedo...well not quite.

Richard Armitage in a speedo Is that wishful thinking or does footage exist? Any coherant answer cannot exist until I know this answer.

Ps I was a real sucker for the Abduction Club.
