poor Emma, sounds like a bad day.
the only bad thing that has happened to me today is that my back hurts :(
it would suggest that i have actually been doing work though, so hooray!

will it matter that you haven't date stamped your essay? won't they collect them at the end of the day?
i got william to hand mine in for me, what a nice brother.

I'm not sure if it'll matter that much. There seem to be lots of people in that subject who're unfamiliar with the workings of the history department, so I might get away with it if they assume I'm completely ignorant rather than completely idiotic.

You do not loose. You win. At life. Today was sucky, but just think of how many awesome days are in lieu because of the last week. Yes that's right i've got a new philosophy (how very you're a good man charlie brown).

Sucky days are tallied like overtime and then paid in lieu.

Ah, Charlie Brown. I had such a thing for Linus...(Like I said, I have issues!)

I do subscribe to the 'things happen in threes' philosophy, so I'm more than due for some happiness now.

you sound like you should have been in that bugger ad!
what a crappy day.

i hate getting locked out.
its the worst.
i imagine it is especially bad when you have an essay to hand in.
and when you cant go around the back and dig up practically the entire garden searching for the spare key that you buried there years ago.... actually, we used to have on next to the fish pond but then we filled that in.... i wonder where its gotten to....
anyway.
at least you got your essay in on the day!
hopefully it wont matter that it didnt get stamped.

i hope tomorrow is better.
:)

See, I'm looking on the bright side that we even had a real estate agent to call. If it were our house, we'd have been screwed!!

But since this has happened, my dad and I have agreed to get some keys cut and to hide a screwdriver in the backyard (to open a window if we can't find the keys). The worst part was that I have NO upper body strength, so I couldn't even get over the side wall to go around the back anyway! So part of the grand plan is to hide the gate key in the *front* yard so we don't scandalise the neighbours with attempts to climb it (like I did today!)

that's some unfortunate luck... and here i was thinking i had it bad today (my train was delayed due a collapsed passenger one stop after i got on, when i really could have run for the one before it; lack of sleep due to coldness; no honey or jam to put on my toast for brekkie and etc...)! but really, all that bad luck doesn't count when you get your backpay and do unexpectedly well on your exam on the same day...

hope you have plenty of good stuff to make up for today. :)

I hate public transport delays when you've actively chosen not to get the one before. I have this weird thing where I refuse to run for a bus/tram/train/anything so that is particularly irksome.

Yay for backpay though!!

Worst. Day. Ever.

Although, at least your father walked to the real estate agent and not you. You were saved!
But, wasn't it freaking cold outside today? You mean to say you were stuck outside today? That completely sucks. Foolio!

Yay for things working out in the end though. :)

(It all worked out, right?)
And hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Small mercies. It wasn't that cold since I had my little alcove between the grill and the front door in which to shelter like the little match girl.

Tomorrow things will be better because I don't have to leave the house.

You do realise there's a medical term for people who think like that, right?
