because we were Nazi collaborator and God punished our president for Katyń

I'm doing this because I am incredibly bored and a little pissed off. Being ill doesn't make any good to me.

Once again I allowed myself to read comments on vorious portals. And once again I was "amazingly" surprised with comments on Yahoo! I still don't know why I read stuff there. I read few things there and then started about our "national ( Read more... )

Isn't it always the people with half-knowledge or none at all who are the first to speak up and who are the loudest while doing so? They have nothing to say but can't keep their mouths shut either.

I've read the most ridiculous and insulting things about my country and been asked questions where I didn't believe my ears. It is what it is.

You're right. I think everywhere is like that. Oh, I've been asked about your country too. It's really popular question :P Do we still hate Germany?
It always makes me laugh. And when I answer NO there is huge disbelief on their faces.
I remember once some French guy asked me that and he wouldn't believe me. He asked 3 more people to confirm. And they did, but my answer.

Probably people like that will be always present... at least it won't be boring ;)

There's just too many idiots in the world Manic and like Krizzie says, that are always the first to speak up and usually the loudest. Yahoo has some of the worst commentators ever anyway and why learn about history or current events when you can just repeat the crap you over heard in the pub last night?

And this - "Folks? don't you think this wasn't an accident but the Work of Almighty God to punish Evil?" had to be by an American, please tell me it was? Comments like that make me want to break things but its also ...just absurd?

Well acording to this person's icon I think *surprise surprise* they're Jewish (don't know if they're from America though).
Ok it's not a surprise to me. Lots of Jewish people think that we were the one who create Oświęcim/Auschwitz. *shakes head*

The fact that both of them had something like that to say is simply terrifying. I mean people who blindly believe in things they've heard or read somewhere and didn't even bother to verify them with other sources.
