It would appear that I'm not very good with menu planning. Well, I guess I'm great at the planning; it's the execution that falls apart. My husband hates my attempts. He cooks a lot of the time, and he's a cook-on-the-whim type. Or we'll have a stressful day and decide on a quick meal instead of whatever's planned. But I'm dedicated to making this

plain rice cakes with peanut butter and some dried fruit is a really healthy (especially compared to pop tarts), and a pretty good protien/fiber punch to get the day started. Added bonus, it's dairy and gluten free (depending on your rice cake, I suppose).

That had actually been my plan for today, but I'm dealing with a sick baby while the hubs is off for the day. I'm hoping that I might get a shot to do just that one day this week. We'll see.
