I was seriously thinking of eloping after my weekend with the mother. It all went well up to the end when she really told me what she thinks of my fiance. She is very dissappointed that we won't be doing a mass for the wedding and thinks it is because Tad hasn't gotten his first communion (she thinks that is very selfish of him). I explained

Do get married with family around you.

I am really saddened by some news I got earlier this week... my brother and his fiance are going to Hawaii to get married. And no one in the family will be there, none of us can afford that right now.

They have the same sitation that you had about the whole anullment stuff. (Her side. We're not Catholic, so it could have been done at our church...) But anyways... I wanted to get married on the beach myself... but Chris's folks wanted a wedding. So a wedding they got. So I kind of had to do what you are doing... doing the wedding for the man, I wanted to get married on the beach... Heck, I just wanted to get married on Lake Michigan along the shore and call it good! I didn't have to go anywhere fancy! :D

When there is a will there is a way and we will be getting married in front of the family. . .We waited this long for the annullment, we might as well go all the way!!
