Wow... Scary shit, right here. I know there's at least one boy who'd like to offer some kind of attempt at comfort, but he's feeling pretty awkward about trying to step in after so long.
As for me, I really like the way this is presented, but I'm worried about Con! I hope he's got a good support structure in place. The first-person style gives it a really immediate, visceral feel.
You know it's funny... I was thinking of Al today. I was originally planning on this huge fighting/screaming match between Ty and Con which would have got them both arrested for domestic disturbance as one of Ty's neighbours would call the cops... and I was thinking... y'know... Al's the only person in Cambridge that Con knows to call to bail him out... >> But then it didn't end up that way, of course. XD But ya... s'funny.
I'm glad y'like it. ^^; I'm thinking of writing the next one from Ty's perspective... beginning with the spilled coffee... I like that image. It's not written yet, though. Con will survive, although he's a little nervous and is staying at a girl friend's house for the foreseeable future; honestly I don't think he's planning on spending any more time than he needs to back at his apartment - just enough to pack and then -move-.
Al is more than welcome to give Con a 'call' or leave 'im a message anytime. :)
I have to say, I'm having a hard time anymore with writing/thinking Al in the 'current' time period, because he's involved in a lot of big shit lately in the future. I've kind of moved to the 'Angels and demons' period of events exclusively, but Rom's very easy to jump back into because he doesn't change much. Al has grown up a lot in the later writings, so coming back to him as a student is kind of a tough adjustment.
He is right around the right time to get his tattoos, though... that's an event I might be able to frame him around. It would be reasonable to think he'd have sought out an artist in NYC, so maybe he'd call before coming to the city? That could work.

(Don't mind me, just thinking out loud)
