I just had this picture of James at the birth of Harry, being like, "...it's a BOY!? D:" and everyone else raising their eyebrows at him, because how could he NOT know? but then I felt like that was mean, and Sirius wouldn't be around to see it happen anyway, so this is how it turned out.
oh, it hurts! this is really beautifully written-- so realistically Sirius to mope and be angry and hurt in his house by himself. This might sound strange, but I loved that most of the time, even though James was giving him hints, etc, in the end it was almost always James who had to take the effort to see him. That probably made no sense, forgive me.
At any rate, phenomenal job! Thank you for sharing :)

it didn't go by too fast, i think it was paced right, and oh, so hopeless...
and i love how suddenly sirius loves harry after seeing him, despite thinking he never would like him... and james knowing it's a girl....
