I've been working on these quotes since around fall 2006. I had been adding them to the various info boxes on my Facebook, but it finally overflowed last night, so I decided to put them all together in a big LJ post.

I think I actually got that Sagan quote off one of your LJ posts from a while back. And your people with the power remark rang too true to ignore.

If you'd like to make it a "sticky" for your journal, I would suggest changing the date to sometime in the future! (BE A TIME TRAVELER, YO!)
I usually list mine as 2027. Tis a good number.
I would suggest 2042, though.. As it would be partially the appropriate answer to any question. ;)

I'm not sure if you need to check/uncheck backdating.
But you can always make another post after and see what happens. It, essentially, should remain at the top of your posts.

I'm not sure if that's exactly what you're looking for.. but that's how I would do it. :)

What's really, really weird is I was once having a conversation with my mom about how I seem to see the number 42 all over the place. She countered with the logic that I only noticed the 42's because of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but that any other number was just as likely. After which she tasked me to start noticing another random number as well. That number was 27.

I should have realized the future date thing. I'll have to give that a go.

And I don't know if I wanna do a cut for this post or not.

I think most numbers can be subject to "popping up everywhere" if you're looking for them.
27 and 7 are just my favorite numbers. ;]
So that's what I use..

I ask for an lj-cut because it stretched my friends page the fug' out. lol Most people get annoyed with that sort of thing, I think..
Maybe cut it for a few weeks until people don't need to scroll past it. And then de-cut it?
