Finally got to meet rensarockstar in the flesh. Ooooh, baby.

Got outed by Lizzie as a writer. Now mission statement work-related madness will ensue and I'm supposed to write a script in 2 (well, only 1) days?!?! Holy crap.

I also must get rid of the over-abundance of Firefly references in said skit ( Read more... )

work, meetings, bobbin lace, skit

"Finally got to meet rensarockstar in the flesh. Ooooh, baby."

Better watch yourself there. I might start to think you "go to my church." (What the older gals I hang with call being queer) ;-)

Nice to finally meet you too! I do seem to recall seeing you in my building from time to time.

LOL As my husband always says, "Keep them guessing." (for a long while they just weren't sure at his work and had they not met me on various occasions, I'm sure he would have had a few offers!)

Otherwise, I don't think I have that vibe. At least, no chicks have hit on me yet. ;) I'm all for getting hit on by anyone - well...meaning no preference to gender, but I'm a tease and an attention whore for saying/meaning that. LOL The more people I can enamour, the fabulous I think I am. It's really and truly a sickness of mine. :D

Yeah, used to work in 4-J in your building. Good people in that area. :) More meetings in the future, I hope! :) Maybe a lunch or two...but no pressure!

I knew you weren't cos I know you're married...LOL. I'm all for getting hit on too. Been single for almost a year now...but then again, I'm in no hurry.

And yes, we should do lunch sometime. I normally bring mine, but on Mondays it's just so hard to get out of bed early enough to make one...

LOL Yes, but from what I've been told I don't "give off that vibe" of being gay - contrary to what my family thought for a long time. ;) I say a lot of shit, but other chicks I know know I don't swing in that direction. I seem to have pretty good gay-dar, though. There's only been a few people I haven't been able to suss out.

For dating in general - I'm HAPPY to be out of that meat market. My husband is far more the social being than I ever was (former DJ - he was surrounded by chicks 24/7!) so I've been single for a long while before we met. Still shaking my head that we've been together for 6 years, now. Holy crap.

I usually bring my lunch as well. I would ask if you had plans today, but I'm supposed to be working on that skit. Oy. I'm wondering what exactly I was thinking when I volunteered for this....

The first time I heard it was when my friend said it. I said "Huh? I don't go to church!!!" And my friend looked at me and said "No...REN...she GOES to your CHURCH!" Took me a minute, but I got it.

LOL Well, you and I know that - but not everyone wants to be attacked by the Browncoat-y goodness. Don't want to turn it into the Fruity Oaty Bar episode, y'know? LOL

Oh, yeah - here's another comm for you: ff_shepherds. It's for spreading the Word to the 'verse. 'Tis shiny. ;)

I have been filling my iPod with podcasts of The Signal. It's a dead show, from what I understand, but Firefly Talk is still going, I think. Anyway - good stuff. Just try to convert those who you think would like the show versus making everyone crazy.

Of course - if I could follow my own advice, that would be something....! :)

i'm not real good at creating buzz for stuff, though... seems like everyone i know is already "in the know". i'm so oblivious, sometimes. :P

now i'm just obsessed with collecting/making firefly and serenity icons... whee! *lol*

I've never heard the "church" euphemism until now. It's kinda funny. A large group of my friends are gay and I'm not, but a gay friend once told me that I was an "honorary memeber" of the gay community because of all of my friends!
