If you're too shy, just find a heavy book and give him a quick tap on the back of the head. Then you can do whatever you want! People who can't mind won't mind at all!

Just make sure he's like liable to act like a particular Uma Thurman.

I would suggest, much as I hate self help books, reference books would probably do the best job.
