Billy Wilder is so fun, I love me some Sunset Boulevard.
Yeah, he's my director!crush of the moment. I am especially in love with "Irma La Douce", "Love In The Afternoon" and "The Apartment" right now, but "Sunset Boulevard" is truly a masterpiece. Norma Desmond is one of my favourite characters ever.
Great list!
Thanks!
like you said on mine, i have yet to see a lot of these
Yeah, that's probably why I haven't listed any Vivien Leigh or Laurence Olivier, yet. ;)
Hey! Non commento sui film perchè abbiamo gusti molto diversi
Ciao! Allora, anche se qualcosa so già, aspetterò le tue liste (di lunghezza libera, ovviamente)... ;)
a parte Jude Law!).
Eh già, Jude mette d'accordo molte persone!
"The Sword In The Stone" (Disney) LOL! I adore it!
Jim Henson's "Labyrinth" (starring David Bowie!) Finally I meet another person who saw it! I've had a little crush for him in this movie...*blushing And the soundtrack is wonderful(his voice...)and I love it!
I didn't see Vincent Fleming's "The Wizard Of OZ", but I wish to see it as soon as possible, 'cause I like very much the novel;also, I wish to see Michael Meyer's "A Home At The End Of The World"...
And I completely agree with you about William Hurt, Leonardo Di Caprio, Johnny Depp and Julia Roberts...And I would ask you if you can indicate me some Stephen Fry's movies but... where is Liam Neeson in that list?^^

Who doesn't? Seriously. ♥ ♥ ♥

Me, too! It's that great, isn't it? And I think David is gorgeous in it!! Plus the bulge in his tight pants will never cease to astonish me/crack me up! LOL
but I wish to see it as soon as possible, 'cause I like very much the novel
I re-read the book few months ago and, while I enjoyed it very much (especially the parts that I couldn't remember from the first time I read it, since they're not in the movie), but I think I found the language a tad too childish to appreciate it now as much as I did as child. So I guess I prefer the movie (except for the munchkins, who always sort of creeped me out) because I find it more, you know, timeless.
also, I wish to see Michael Meyer's "A Home At The End Of The World"...Here, on the contrary, my preference goes to the movie (which is definitely a must-
( ... )
Obviously I knew that Fry is the best friend of Hugh, but actually I don't know his filmography... Ok, I forgive you for Liam Neeson's absence...How handsome and good is that men???*My eyes are heart-shaped in this very moment...
And...oh God! Bowie's bulge in that movie! It astonished me, and maybe it shocked me...I was a child then...^^
So I need you to send me your address so I can send you a christmas card! I know you've given it too me multiple times, but I need it again!
Also I wanted to share with you some good news....I'll be moving back to Italy in April! So you have so time to save some money so you can visit me in Verona!
Hearing from you just made my day! And I'm sorry about this but... HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! =P
I'll send you my address via Gmail, 'k? Could you, please, do the same? Thanks!!
OMG, it's so awesome that you're coming back! How long are you staying?? I'm definitely looking forward to meeting you again. This time, we can fangirl about CM, too, LOL! Speaking of which, how are you liking S4 so far?
I haven't seen all of these, but it seems that you have v. classy taste in movies. I must watch more Billy Wilder. Although I have to say that my mean cousins made me watch The Birds when I was little, and I haven't been able to watch it again even as an adult. I was too scared to tell my father what had happened too (until I was much older), so he could never understand why I developed this sudden bird phobia literally overnight that lasted for several years... lol!

Thanks! I actually only started watching older movies (read: pre-1980) three years ago, thanks to my second-to-last exam (History Of Cinema) in FLL.
I entirely blame Gary Cooper's gorgeousness in Design For Living. XD
I must watch more Billy Wilder.
His movies just make me SO HAPPY.

It doesn't surprise me. I remember seeing the opening titles as a kid and not being able to watch further, LOL. Then I saw the whole movie in 2006 and I think it's pretty amazing how, in spite of the now ridiculous special effects, it brilliantly creeped me out. (I guess the fact that I watched it at midnight in complete silence and darkness helped, LOL.)
