So here's the skinny on the trip! It was awesome. Long drive each day, but well worth it. I figured out a few things a long the way:
1. Kentucky had way too many incidents of road kill. Figured someone would have done a better job of cleaning up the sides of the road.

I've heard of this in other places, usually it's to show people what can be caused from a drunk driving accident. But this doesn't sound like the case here.

This is actually not what they tell you in drivers ed anymore. The correct position to hold your steering wheel if you have airbags is at 3 and 9.

so i guess the truck thing makes sense. but they had rolled it back over on its wheels, with its crushed roof and stuff.

and i didn't know there was a difference with the airbags and where you should position your hands. i know it's easier to have them up higher on the wheel, like the 10 and 2 position. :)
