Racial diversity is a challenging thing to create and maintain. But I think it's a very important thing to do. Not nessicarily for cultural reasons or anything, in fact racial diversity is counter-productive to what I think about culture, that people should preserve it and everything, historically that is, Irish should practice Irish customs,

Mt. Carmel is not the most racially diverse school in the nation at all-- many public magnet schools' student bodies are specificially selected to represent the makeup of the city-- about 35% hispanic, 35% black, 30% white. DUHHHH.

First of all, put your name in the subject line, please, so I can chastise you personally. But, you're right, technically. However, Mt. Carmel isn't forced to do that, it's a natural mix. As you said the people in magnet schools are selected to be that way. Also thats a racial diversirty, Mt. Carmel is relativley diverse not only racially but socially, economically, area wise, everything.
