I came onto the site hours ago with the intent of, you know, posting. Instead, I decided that I wanted a new look, and went clicking about the interwebs! I've decided to try out a new moodtheme  - the floating Harry heads are taken from the lovely PotterPuffs LJ. Although it wasn't fun trying to assign 11 expressions to 132 words, uploading the ( Read more... )

I am so sorry to hear that this happened! I would have thought that America, compared to most countries in the world, would have been more accepting of LGBT. This makes me sick to hear! I am so sorry you had to go through something like that, that's absolutely DISGUSTING.

Where I live it is very open minded about gay LGBT. But in the more rural areas of Australia it's all the same. Once again, I'm really sorry you had to experience that.

The world can be shitty sometimes, at least you know that deep down you're a good person. The other people are just immature douches who wont get very far in life without being open minded.

The northern part of America is very, very good about gays. Like I said, it's not a big deal. The South, though? Especially this Bible Belt strip? They're not accepting or open-minded AT. ALL. And yeah, it had me down for a while. I'm still down, and I keep thinking about the fact that I have to face these people on Monday ( ... )

Yes, it does say that in the Bible. For people in a region of the country who hump the cross so hard, they seem rather hostile towards portions of God's word that contradict their own bigotry. >.> And yes! We'd JUST finished half an hour of footage detailing how different ethnic groups suffered because of prejudice, and STILL they refused to draw the parallels.

We need to put all the stupid people on an island and gas them. That way we can have the world all to ourselves. >.>

*hugs* I appreciate the thought, though, love. And it really is.

Yeah, exactly. If you take the Bible away from some of these people, then they don't have an opinion. Sadly, my own parents are like this, and I can't tell them that I'm agnostic yet until I leave for college next year. Sooo far away *sigh*

But but if we put them in Australia, they'll widen the hole in the Ozone layer. I vote Bermuda Triangle with a flashlight, spear, and a few pairs of boxers. :)
