That ending was just... I don't know what to say. They nullified the entire plot of both episodes! Bumblebee's huge angst, Ratchet's noble sacrifice, all the hardship that the frontliners struggled through to get back the hammer, which seemed the obvious plot device to fix Bee - it went nowhere. Like an electrical current racing along and them BAM straight into a rubber wall. If Bee's driving again, they don't even need the hammer, which makes it utterly pointless that Megatron has it because he clearly has no use for it either. Even watching him pound scrap metal with it irritated me; it reminded me of monkeys beating their chests and railing at something they can't understand. Jeez, I'd rank TFA Megatron a little higher than that in the intel dept ( ... )

I was actually touched when Bee walked out of the MECH hideout holding his T-cog. It was a poignant moment, so when the next scene showed him recovering from surgery, I thought Ratchet had gone ahead with the transplant. That would have made the ending wonderfully bittersweet.

Instead, that burned-out T-cog wasn't so burned-out after all, which ruined the poignant moment. There's no way I can watch this episode again and feel at all sad for Bee when I know he's going to be just fine (with no apparent effort or sacrifice on anyone's part).

And yeah, what was the point of the hammer? Thankfully the next episode is about Wheeljack, rather than continuing the pattern of the 'cons finding Ancient Autobot Device Of The Week while the 'bots try to take it away from them.

"it would be cool to watch Starscream and MECH fall in and out of an enemies-with-benefits relationship over the course of the season..."Oh, that would have been a lot of fun! Especially if Starscream had started influencing the results of Project Chimera; assuming Silas ( ... )

Knock Out and Breakdown were back on form this ep! I share your disappointment in the ending. It would have been an awesome story arc with Bumblebee getting used to Ratchet's T-Cog.

Plus, it's not as though Ratchet's ambulance form is commonly called for.

And if that's not an option for whatever reason... given the ease with which the Autobots usually mow down Vehicons, all they really have to do is find one of their dead enemies whose T-cog is still intact and yank that out.

Instead the episode just made Starscream look incompetent, and the ending was manipulative at best - showing Bee with the ruined T-cog but immediately going to a fairy-godmother-like wave of the wand to fix everything.
