I didn't notice the zombies

I didn't notice the zombies, but they appear to have snuck in and eaten my brain anyway. Or maybe it was little fuzzy telepaths.

I looked up my recent mood shift: I appear to have been mostly happy between September 24th and October 17th. For some reason it seems like much longer ago.

Things still aren't getting done -- ( Read more... )

You did. Brightening someone's day always brightens mine as well.

Funny how that works.

If it's too cold to go for a walk outdoors, how about going to an enclosed mall and walking around for a while? And as an extra benefit, you can feel virtuous about all the things you saw that you wanted to buy, but didn't.

(Seriously, I hate exercise in any form. The only way I can do any significant walking is in a shopping mall or a large store. Alas, without a car to get to the mall, I haven't done any walking in far too long.)

I love to walk, but unless all the stores are closed I can't actually walk in a mall. Too much waiting for people to get out of the way. And walking in the hour or so before the stores open requires advance planning and timing.

I hate to walk, or do anything else even vaguely resembling exercise. And if I tried to participate in the sport of "mall walking" (without all those pesky shoppers), I'd probably fall over before I got half a mile. But I can walk from one store to another and then stand still looking at stuff, head for the food court and sit down with something to drink, wander slowly from place to place - that's about the closest to "exercise" I'm ever going to get. IF I ever get a car again.

Walking doesn't feel like exercise to me - it's what I did as a kid to get out of the house and away from people. It's still what I do to get away from people and spend some time by myself; the exercise is just a nice side-effect.
