Rough morning

First setback was discovering that the workstation I wanted to use to replace the possibly-flaky fileserver didn't appear able to find either of its ethernet ports when booted from the server's disk. Something in the boot-time kernel config, I suppose, but I didn't have time to diagnose it. If it goes down over the weekend, it goes down. The

So, they were delivered, and stolen off your front porch?!? That's truly maddening, when you consider that the potential that they were worth a darned thing to the thieves is astronomically small. :-<

The Looney Labs cards that I'd slipped in there, I can at least replace pretty easily, although I may not see you before baycon...

P.S.: Now that I think of it, the (unopened) cookie packets that I'd included did include trans fats. Maybe we've poisoned them. %-}
