Better a found book than a still lost one ^_~

As for selling of used books...it's mainly because of money.
They only get money for new books sold.
Once the book is on the market, used book money trail is between consumers and the used book store. Nothing goes to the publisher.

Fairly common on college textbooks for new editions with VERY few changes if any... (shhhh)
