I found it mildly amusing, but not enough so to chuckle at. Is that because it involved people making embarrassing mistakes? Dunno, because I couldn't detect what was supposed to be humorous about it. Part of the problem may be that I had trouble figuring out how people could twist their brains in such a way as to make those mistakes in the first place. When you're distracted by the mechanics of something, the effect tends to be lessened. But that's probably just me.

People don't -- the phone does. People just type and don't look at what the phone's spell checker is correcting their typos to.

Ah, that's my problem, then. I tend to read what I'm sending and somehow it never occurred to me that others don't. (Told you I'm strange, didn't I?)

Not all that strange; I do too. As well as turning off all the "smart" stuff and just sending the letters I actually type. Slower, but at least it works.

oh, can I beg a little for you not to link to the Daily Mail? so much of what they write is wrong, made up, offensive or otherwise FOX that I hate seeing them get traffic. This has been a message from a supporting member of Adult Children Of Daily Mail Reading Parents....
