I'm writing this from the Flying J on the Grapevine on the way back from AX 2009 (which I'll post about later). Flying J is, in case you don't know, the truckerest truck stop. And even better, I bet that since the FCC isn't up to enforcing much of anything these days, some of those CB radios for sale are actually 10m/28MHz amateur radios for the idiots to buy and run illegally, without a license.

I hung out at Flying Js through my entire Texas trip. If you kept your speed up, you could use their five-dollar-a-day interbutt access at two or more stops. Except the one in Kingman AZ, which just plain didn't work and I may as well have just lit a five dollar bill on fire and dropped it in the dirt.
