Be Balanced Hormonal Weight Loss (BBHWL) center there it is again.  After several weeks of passing by it when I am working in PA and DE, I decided to look it up and see what it is all about. The first item on the website is "Don't let Menopause debilitate you"; "well, maybe this is something", I think to myself.

I hate the entire gym experience ( Read more... )

I am so sorry...that would be absolutely infuriating. I really hope you work something out. Personally, I've considered just walking - outside, after dark, so no one can see me. I weigh...well, more than 230. I have measured a 3 mile route around my neighborhood, but I am so self-conscious that I feel like people are staring at me through their windows, wondering why I even bother. I know it's all in my head, but it's a little daunting sometimes.

I live really close to the local HS and I have walked the track before but most days I just can not motivate myself to do it. My FT job is really physical so I usually come home from work really tired anyway. My PT job is a desk job with the occasional having to help the vet tech to lift a large sedated dog into the recovery area. I feel like I get enough exercise most weeks then there is house cleaning too.

Ouch! Frustrating and expensive!

It seems as if this program simply will not work with a vegan diet, so it's a poor match for you.

OTOH, veganism doesn't seem to be a great match for your body (I think this is true for many people as well). It's very hard to get sufficient lean protein on a vegan diet. But if you're keeping to it for philosophical reasons, you're kind of stuck.

I have been vegetarian for just about 35 years and a little over a year ago, I was having health issues that turned out to be allergies to diary. I am feeling much better since I stopped eating dairy too. Since I started peri-menopause, i have gained lots of weight and i just can't lose it no matter what I do.

How disappointing! They clearly have no idea what they're doing.

I was just hoping that it truly was a "fix" for menopause issues but seems it is just another diet program geared towards your average american that eats lots of fast-junk-food.
