Ooo, Looks Like A Classic Case Of Death By Ping. Or Pong.

The Good
I like Keith as sheriff and I'm pumped and ready to defend it. Besides the fact that if he yells at someone to call him Sheriff Mars I'm going to stick him, I think he's good at the job and I like seeing him interrogating people where they are forced to respond.Plus, I like that he didn't arrest Landry in front of his class, despite Landry bitching him out the last episode, because that would have just been petty. And also, this is why I was happy about Veronica getting access the sheriffs office. Stealing files and bringing donuts and asking for a siren? I like her better not as a civilian.
One of my favorite parts of this mystery arc is how Tim was able to completely turn Mindy and Hank against each other. They went from setting alibis and defending each other to agreeing to testify against the other. Neither even considered an outside party by the end, but instead were so focused on the other betraying them. I loved (insert evil laugh) when Mindy got her insurance money (bitch gotta get paid, baby) and you were just like "SHE'SSOEVILWHAT?" and then I loved Landry's break down on the boat. "She must have thought I was going to kill her!!" That's because you were, Hank. And you did. R.I.P. Min, you will be missed. At least by me.
I guess a lot of the fandom wasn't happy with the conclusion to the mystery, but I thought it was brilliant. It's a whole different pace than Veronica getting head butted by the host of ET on MTV, but I thought it was smart. I got so excited watching Veronica piece together the mystery in the classroom and get up in Tim's face. When Tim was going over the case I was sitting there going "wait, what?" but then every time Veronica raised her hand I was thinking "OH! OH!" I thought it was an appropriate ending and something new (no guns! no fire! no ghb!). Dude, at least it wasn't Mindy's kid, because that would have been bogus. Plus, I liked the strategic Tim-reaction-shots spread out throughout the episode to string the string.
I'm split on whether I liked the Veronica/Tim team up, but there were some excellent scenes. I loved Veronica being scared at the idea of a breakup, but then when she sees it's Tim getting annoyed instead. Then proceeding to pwn him multiple times. Then I liked Veronica's phone antics and the two fighting over the cabin pictures. But the codes names are starting to get old. Crockett? Tubbs? People are not that stupid. Except Tim, because Wisconsin is not in the west. Just saying.
You know I love me some strippers, man. Their bickering about seniority and calling others "big old slutty chimneys" made me laugh. Plus, Randy helped the scene by being a total creep. I'm going to go out on a limp though and say that all strippers don't wear cheetah print and Juicy sweat pants. But we have video cameras at work that are just for show, except that they hang too far off the wall and you can see there aren't any wires attached. You could rob us, if you want.
Plogan is so cute already. Even though he reused the Veronica-lunch-tray-wraparound on her, I like that she knows his schedule and is keeping him on the straight and narrow without being a bitch. Plus everyone was so full of maturity! I liked that Parker felt the need to check in to save Varker, because it is necessary. I liked that Logan said that him and Veronica were friends when he was getting her permission. Whether I believe it, eh?, and it was definitely weird. But mature. It almost makes me ready for Viz (speaking of, Chris Lowell, don't you DARE try to hook up with Addison, because I swear to God).
The Bad
So, I loved the conclusion to the mystery, but I was still a bit confused. Why did Tim get involved with the investigation at all? Tim could have left everything alone and Landry probably would have taken the fall like he'd intended. Was it just to get his rocks off bragging and getting close to the crime without people figuring out it was him? Because if he hadn't wanted to get caught he could have easily deleted the recording from Landry. Also, when did he bug Veronica's phone? She seems fairly good at keeping a lock down on her bag.
Ewwwww. No matter how many times I see those piss yellow flashbacks, I will still get sick. They're all spinny and tunnel visiony and I miss the sparkling blue ones. I did actually like the scene it flashbacked to, though. I wish Landry had seemed more stoned though, that would have been funny.
This point isn't so much "the bad" as it is "the uncertain." Watching the ending of the episode (though some good Keith/Veronica moments) reminded me that this is the last mystery arc. When the newcast first started talking about the dead business man, I kept thinking "oh, the next arc" and then I realized there wasn't one. That was my only disappointment is that there is no cliffhanger to make you go "OMGTHEYKILLEDCYRUS."
Gratuitous Gilmore Girls references have got to go, yo.
The Snarky
Tim: "No, it just seems hopeless. We have no idea who this woman is. She could have just been driving through town or she could live next door and have gone on vacation for a year." Veronica: "Or she could have been a down-on-her-luck Catholic school girl smuggling cantaloupes in her shirt..." [Veronica turns back to check-out counter] Veronica: "So, are they like shooting a Motley Crew video here." Randy: "Strip City is right across the street."
Wallace: "Alright, I'm a guy, so I don't know or care about this stuff. But I feel like I'm supposed to tell you." Veronica: "I'm starting to get a mustache!" Wallace: "No." Veronica: "Then why are you staring at my lip?" Wallace: "Because you just made me?" Veronica: "Stop."
Keith: "Did you talk to the airports?" Sachs: "LAX yes, but I'm still waiting to hear from John Wayne." Veronica: "And you're not gonna, pilgrim, cause what I am, is dead.
Keith: "I think it's the uniform. Do you have anything to confess?" Veronica: ""Yes. You embarrass me. Keith: "Give me my meat, woman.
