Note to all used car salesmen: If somebody is taking one of your cars for a test drive because they might be interested in buying it, you should probably make sure they're not going to run out of gas two kilometers away. I'm just saying ( Read more... )

writing fic by candlelight might be sort of an experience. wait, did i already suggest that another time?

when i was little i used to wait till the power went out (in some seasons in colorado it happened quite frequently) and then get out the candles and sew, pretending i was laura, of course.

The problem is, in order to see well enough to write, you need a fair number of candles. And I have a lot of hair. You see my concern? ;o)

You lookin' for a new ride, Jiggy Pip? Good hunting, Yo! (and preferably without any further dealer-induced face palming. ;-))

Hope the storms have passed you by. I don't like thunderstorms much myself. The lightning can be awesome to watch but the thunder has always gotten to me. =P

LOL. Yeah, the pr0n police are on to the cherried-out Toyota, so I'm on the prowl for a new Pipmobile. ;o)

I don't mind thunderstorms, per se, it's the severe ones that can lead to tornados that freak me out. Tornados to the southwest yesterday, and one about 10 kms south of here Friday. I mean, wtf? It's MAY, it's not supposed to be tornado season yet. :(

*Rolls eyes* They didn't even leave enough gas in it for that?! Oi. I mean, I know gas prices are ridiculous, but geez! *chuckle*

I've never had that particular problem with test-driving a car, but the hubby tested one once that broke down a few miles away from the dealership. *Snorts* Needless to say, we didn't buy that particular vehicle.

*Grins* And, I can totally relate to your weather woes. We had just lovely weather yesterday... Storms and rain and lightning, and those damn tornado warnings. Luckily the bulk of it past south of us, and I don't believe there were any actual tornado touch-downs, only sighting of funnel clouds.

But I've got me a battery-operated lantern (for camping) that I pull out in case of such silly things as power-outages. (Which happen FAR more often than I care for). Writing fic by lantern isn't that bad.

But hey, at least candlelight might be romantic *snickers* Might set the mood? *Foresees a DomBilleh fic with lovely candle-pr0n*

Hi. I'm enjoying reading your fics. So I came to your El Jay to see if you had any archives and I noticed you have (I assume) Crohn's (as do I) and I don't really know what I would say, but I thought I'd acknowledge it, yeah? And I agree with the above person, candle pron is a great idea.

Hi! I'm so glad you're liking my fics. I have links to all of them in my memories, but it's friends-only. If you'd like me to add you so you can access them, just let me know. :)

Yeah, Crohn's kind of sucks, doesn't it? How long have you had it? It's been nearly four years for me. (Wow. I can't believe it's been four years already.)
