Dang, I just checked again and realized someone else has claimed this prompt. Well, since the free-for-alls don’t have a limit, here’s mine…
Recipient: lilacsigil Prompt: Aurors on a tea break Word count: 100 Rating: G
To outsiders, the Aurors’ tea breaks are a waste of time, an excuse for the protectors of the Wizarding World to leave war-torn magical England unguarded-defenseless-for fifteen minutes everyday.
To the Aurors, each biscuit and each cup of tea is a silent acknowledgement of life. In this daily ritual, every meal is a possible last. Bread and tea have been the Last Supper for eighteen Aurors since the Second Voldemort War started. Dying on duty is now so common that posthumous Orders of Merlin aren’t awarded anymore.
Sipping tea and nibbling on biscuits, they await their Saviour’s victory.
Woo hoo! Two drabbles for me! Thank you, especially as this one is the diametric opposite to the last.
I really love the wartime feel of this, of keeping their heads down and spirits up in the trenches. I hope that, despite the lack of the Order of Merlin, the Aurors are getting better support from the Ministry than has been apparent so far in the books. Then there's a reason that they're fighting, not just holding the line.

I'm so glad you like this. I was kind of wibbling about how bleak I've painted the Wizarding World. And yes, I hope the Aurors get better support too.
You're welcome :)

And can I say how impressed I am that you're reading and commenting on all the drabbles? :D
